Compare the course itself
Ask the institution to distinguish official degrees from its own qualifications and to explain recognition for your intended career or further study. Check teaching language, attendance requirements, assessment arrangements and any compulsory placements. Get the answers in writing.
Build a total study budget
Use a full-year budget rather than comparing headline tuition alone. Separate refundable deposits from actual costs and ask what happens if your plans change.
- Tuition, enrolment and examination charges.
- Accommodation, utilities and transport.
- Health cover and costs outside the policy.
- Translations, travel and application charges.
- A buffer for unexpected housing or timetable changes.
Check the immigration side before making commitments
If you need a study visa, review the course and the planned stay against the applicable requirements. Admission alone does not establish immigration eligibility. Coordinate course dates, funding evidence and health cover with the competent authority’s checklist.

Pick accommodation around the real campus
An institution may teach in more than one location. Ask which building you will attend and at what times. Compare the commute, contract length, study space, noise and move-in date. Use temporary accommodation carefully if your permanent housing search will continue after arrival.
Your questions, answered
Can I compare courses before choosing a city?
Yes. Shortlist the academic options first, then compare the full cost and practical fit of each location.
Is every qualification an official degree?
No. Confirm the precise status and intended recognition with the institution and the relevant official register.
Can you help with housing and insurance as well?
Include those topics in your enquiry so they can be considered alongside the course and any visa requirements.
