Prepare the first conversation
Bring the facts that determine the next useful question.
- Describe the householdList each person’s nationality, current residence status and relevant family relationships.
- Explain the real planState whether anyone will work, study, run a business or join family, and for how long.
- Separate the rolesGeneral orientation and relocation coordination are different from individual legal advice or representation.
- Agree the next stepIf professional advice is needed, confirm the provider, scope and cost before proceeding.
Do not send passport copies, medical histories or full financial records through the general contact form.
Separate EU, EEA and Swiss registration from visa routes
EU and EEA nationals and Swiss citizens should first examine the residence framework that applies to them. Other nationals should identify the relevant visa or authorisation. Family relationships and existing rights can change the starting point, so describe every household member before comparing routes.
Official Spanish guidance explains the applicable framework; the documents and steps still depend on the person's circumstances and the competent office.

Match your purpose to the route
A non-lucrative move, a course of study, employment, self-employment and family residence raise different questions. Remote work needs its own assessment. Describe the activity you will actually carry out; do not assume that being paid abroad makes work irrelevant.

Organise the questions before the appointment
Prepare a short factual brief. A useful assessment explains both why a route could fit and what still needs to be checked.
- What nationalities and current residence permissions do household members hold?
- Will anyone work, run a business or study?
- How long do you intend to stay?
- Which country will the application be made from?
- What healthcare entitlement and income sources do you have?
Verify the route before committing money
Once a possible route is identified, confirm the current instructions of the authority handling the process before paying for insurance, ordering documents or making housing commitments around an assumed timeline.
The decision belongs to the competent authority. Move Well Spain provides general orientation and coordination; individual legal advice or representation requires a separate engagement with an appropriately qualified professional.

Your questions, answered
Does an NIE grant residence?
No. An identification number is different from a visa, residence authorisation or registration status.
Can an insurance policy guarantee a visa?
No. Insurance is only one element of an application.
Can you assess my eligibility from the contact form?
The form starts an enquiry. It is not a legal assessment or a confirmed appointment.
